LK Tax Terms Of Service

Effective Date: 7/6/26

These Terms of Service govern your use of the LK Tax LLC website and any general information, communication features, or consultation request forms available through it. By using this website, you agree to these terms.

About LK Tax LLC

LK Tax LLC provides tax preparation, tax planning, tax compliance, and tax representation services to individuals and businesses nationwide.

LK Tax is owned and operated by Lamiya Khokhawala, an IRS Enrolled Agent and authorized IRS e-file provider. Enrolled Agents are federally authorized tax practitioners who may represent taxpayers before the IRS, subject to applicable rules and engagement terms. IRS practitioners are governed by professional conduct standards under Circular 230.

Website Information Only

The information provided on this website is for general educational and informational purposes. It is not intended to provide tax, legal, accounting, investment, or financial advice for any specific person or situation.

Tax laws and filing requirements vary depending on individual circumstances and may change over time. You should not take or delay action based solely on information found on this website.

No Client Relationship

Visiting this website, submitting a contact form, sending an email, scheduling an initial consultation, or receiving general information does not create a tax professional-client relationship.

A client relationship begins only after LK Tax:

  1. Reviews and accepts the requested engagement
  2. Confirms the scope of services
  3. Receives any required signed engagement agreement
  4. Receives any required payment or deposit

LK Tax may decline an engagement at its discretion, including when a conflict of interest, capacity limitation, missing information, deadline concern, or professional restriction exists.

Scope of Services

The specific services provided to a client will be described in a separate engagement agreement or written confirmation.

Services may include:

  • Individual tax return preparation
  • Partnership returns, including Form 1065
  • S corporation returns, including Form 1120-S
  • C corporation returns, including Form 1120
  • Amended and past-due returns
  • International tax and foreign asset reporting
  • FBAR, Form 8938, and Form 8621 preparation
  • Investment and capital gain reporting
  • Multi-state tax returns
  • Tax planning and estimated payment guidance
  • IRS and state notice assistance
  • Tax resolution and IRS representation

Services not specifically included in an engagement are not considered part of LK Tax’s responsibilities.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing complete, accurate, and timely information needed to perform the agreed services.

You agree to:

  • Provide all relevant income, expense, account, ownership, investment, foreign asset, and tax records
  • Review documents and tax returns carefully before signing
  • Respond promptly to requests for additional information
  • Inform LK Tax of filing deadlines, notices, audits, or other time-sensitive matters
  • Maintain copies of supporting documents and completed filings
  • Pay all taxes, interest, penalties, and government fees owed
  • Notify LK Tax if information changes or an error is discovered

LK Tax may rely on the information and documents provided by the client without independently auditing or verifying every item unless otherwise agreed in writing.

The client remains responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information submitted to tax authorities, even when LK Tax prepares or electronically files the return.

Filing Deadlines and Extensions

Clients must provide requested information early enough for LK Tax to complete the engagement before the applicable deadline.

LK Tax does not guarantee that a return, response, election, or other filing will be completed by a deadline when documents or authorization are provided late, incomplete, or inaccurately.

An extension of time to file generally does not extend the time to pay taxes owed. Clients remain responsible for timely payments, estimated taxes, penalties, and interest.

Review and Approval of Returns

Before a return is filed, the client is responsible for reviewing it and confirming that the information is accurate and complete.

LK Tax will not electronically file a return until the required authorizations and signatures have been received. Participation in IRS e-file is subject to IRS requirements for authorized providers and taxpayers.

Once a return has been accepted for filing, changes may require an amended return and additional fees.

Tax Outcomes Are Not Guaranteed

LK Tax does not guarantee:

  • A particular refund amount
  • The acceptance of a tax position
  • A reduction or removal of penalties
  • Approval of a payment plan, settlement, or other resolution
  • A specific response from the IRS or a state agency
  • That a return will not be selected for review or audit
  • A specific completion or processing date

Tax results depend on the facts, available documentation, applicable law, government processing, and decisions made by the relevant tax authority.

IRS and State Representation

Representation before the IRS or a state taxing authority is not automatically included with tax return preparation.

Representation services require a separate agreement, appropriate authorization, and any applicable fees. LK Tax cannot guarantee that a taxing authority will accept a requested position or resolution.

Fees and Payment

Fees are based on the scope, complexity, time requirements, forms involved, condition of the records, and level of communication or research required.

Estimated fees may change if:

  • The tax situation is more complex than originally described
  • Additional forms or tax years are required
  • Records are incomplete or disorganized
  • International or multi-state reporting is discovered
  • Additional correspondence or representation becomes necessary
  • The scope of the engagement changes

Payment terms will be provided before or during the engagement. LK Tax may pause work, decline to file, or terminate an engagement when required payments are not made.

Government taxes, penalties, interest, filing charges, and third-party fees are the client’s responsibility unless expressly stated otherwise.

Refunds and Cancellations

Consultation fees, preparation fees, retainers, and deposits may be nonrefundable once work has begun, time has been reserved, records have been reviewed, or services have been performed.

Any refund or cancellation terms included in a signed engagement agreement will control over this general website policy.

Secure Portal and Electronic Communications

LK Tax may use Intuit ProConnect or other third-party systems for document collection, electronic signatures, communication, payment processing, tax preparation, and electronic filing.

Clients should use the designated secure portal to send tax returns, Social Security numbers, bank information, identification documents, and other sensitive records.

Ordinary email and website contact forms may not be secure. Do not submit sensitive financial or identification information through the general website contact form.

Use or disclosure of tax return information by tax return preparers is subject to federal restrictions, including Internal Revenue Code Section 7216 and its related regulations.

Third-Party Services

The website may include links to scheduling platforms, payment processors, tax software, government websites, or other third-party services.

LK Tax does not control and is not responsible for the availability, content, security, terms, or privacy practices of third-party websites or platforms. Your use of those services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.

Indemnification

You agree to hold LK Tax LLC harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of the website, violation of these terms, infringement of another person’s rights, or submission of false or unauthorized information.

Termination of Professional Services

Once a client relationship exists, either the client or LK Tax may terminate the engagement subject to the applicable engagement agreement and professional obligations.

LK Tax may withdraw when information is withheld, deadlines cannot reasonably be met, payment obligations are not satisfied, continued work would violate professional rules, or the working relationship becomes impractical.

The client remains responsible for meeting all filing and payment deadlines after termination.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute concerning the website or these terms will be handled in a court with appropriate jurisdiction in New Jersey, unless a separate signed engagement agreement provides another dispute-resolution process.

Changes to These Terms

LK Tax may revise these Terms of Service periodically. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
